Slap Chop Review

When I first saw the infomercial for this product, I was interested because I wanted a way to create more meals at home without the hassles. One of those hassles is cutting up vegetables and fruits to either garnish my main dishes or create good salads based on my wants and needs. After ordering it, it came in 2 business days which I liked.

When you open it up, it comes with a small instruction booklet, a registration card, the Slap Chop, and a cheese grater that they call "The Graty." I'm curious to try it out, so I pulled out a few items that were on the video:such as an onion, garlic, strawberries, ham, a hard-boiled egg, celery, and a red potato.

I started to chop up the above in varying degrees (from one chop to multiple depending on how fine I wanted it). I have to say: I was really impressed with how easy it was to use. I've read how some people had trouble with an onion jamming in it or the garlic bulb scattering it's skin throughout the raw garlic itself. I can see how that happened, but when I tried it, I made sure to properly shape it so it fits within the slap chop and hit it 1-2 times (enough to take the skin off). I then easily opened it up, pulled out the skin, closed it up again, then chopped to the desired amount. All it took was a bit of patience and you had the Slap Chop working for you exactly the way you want ti.

I have to admit: Vince was right. It makes tuna exciting and definitely ads vegetables and fruits to one's diet. Don't forget how easy it is to chop up nuts and cookies for great ice cream toppings!
